Contemporary wine rack planter boxes!

When the girls and I went Op shopping on my birthday I came across 5 ugly polystyrene wine racks. I immediately thought they would make amazing little planter boxes for my narrow balcony. Not only that, they are light as I'm on the top level) and can be easily disposed of when I get another idea! I gave them a lick of white paint I had in the shed and covered the over-sized drain hole in the bottom with hessian. I am planting them out with veggie seeds, thinning to leave the strongest plant in each wine bottle hole. I can't wait to get them into action and have vegetables growing again.

The bottom image is how awful, and brown they were, but now they look super smart and cost $1 each!
