I bought a new car a few weeks ago and temporarily retired my '76 celica from driving the Sydney roads. I miss her a lot, after driving her everyday for 9 years. Working on this artwork has renewed purpose for me now! I can't wait to have this image of her heart hanging on my wall, reminding me of her every day.
This is my progress so far. My friend Debbie and I made the canvas, and primed it. I am still so fascinated with the original image too, and the Photoshopped version. Now that the painted version is coming along, I think it may rival the original and the digital version! Long live my lovely Celica.
